'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden major achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he once was, and would certainly think about extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
